SMPTE

LMA is developing its hardware and software products to meet with the rigorous standards of SMPTE, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Production Engineers. SMPTE provides  the guidelines and methods for the development of the highest standards of media production worldwide.

REDHAT
LMA's development relationship with REDHAT is to provide and share media production technologies.  LMA will provide programs, hardware, and media production kernel technologies advances to REDHAT.  This relationship will further define REDHAT as a desired platform for operating systems in Linux film and television production environments.

MPEG
LMA's participation in the Pro-MPEG forum is to stress the importance of an industry wide agreement on the importance of developing Linux drivers and standards for all MPEG related products and systems.


LMA is a member of the recently formed CE Linux Forum. The CE Linux Forum (CELF) is an industry group that is focused on the advancement of Linux as an open source platform for consumer electronics devices. The CELF intends to operate completely within the letter and the spirit of the open source community. The CELF is a place to come and discuss various issues that are of particular importance to the CE industry. Through an open process, the CELF members will clarify and codify certain requirements to be addressed by the open source community
